NGPA (National Guild Piano Audition): Sponsored by the NGPT (National Guild Piano Teachers) & ACM (American College of Musicians) in Austin Texas. A student must be a pupil of Guild member with a minimum of six months of study. Each student must be prepared IMMT (Irresistible Musicianship Test) and pieces from each category memorized. Each participating student will be receiving a pin and a report card written by a Guild judge. To obtain a Guild Audition Scholarship, students must participate for 10 years in the program with 14 or more commendable points than attention points.

 

CAPMT Piano Audition: sponsored by the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. A student must be a pupil of a CAPMT member and must perform two solo's and one duet piece memorized from each category. Each participating student will receive a certificate of participation. Students who earned the Superior rating are invited to perform at the Northern California Music Festival.

 

TCMC(Tri-Counties Music Competition): sponsored by the Kiwanis of Yuba City Noon Club. It is open to students from 1 to 12 grade level who study in classical music either in school or private studios. A student must reside in tuba, Sutter, or Colusa Country and perform 1-3 pieces by memory. The winner of this competition will be performing at the winner concert and each winner will receive a certificate of finalist, a trophy, and a cash prize followed by their performance.

 

YMTF(Young Musicians Talent Festival): sponsored by the musical touch and will be starting in 2012. This music festival is one of the local community events and is open to young talented students aging from 6 to 18 years old who study in any musical instruments, musical theaters, and vocal. Either in classical or non-classical. The purpose of having this Talent Festival is to promote young talents musicians to not only obtain the music scholarship but at the same time it also gives them an opportunity to express the music they like. Each participating student must perform one selection of a chosen piece from memory, and the performance time must not exceed five minutes. The winners of this festival will be performing at the Winner Concert and will be awarded a cash prize following their performance.

 

SPMS(Student Performance and Musicianship Scholarship): sponsored by the Musical Touch and is open to students who study music programs in piano, violin, cello, guitar, trumpet, and vocal. Students must be a pupil of a faculty at the Musical Touch and perform one selection of a chosen piece by memory. Each participating student will be receiving a certificate of participation and a written evaluation by the judge. The winner for this competition will be receiving a $100 cash award.

 

SAS (Student Art Scholarship):  Sponsored by the Musical Touch and is open to students who study in the art programs such as drawing, sketching, painting, sculpture, and graphic design. Students must be a pupil of a faculty at the Musical Touch and present one selection of chosen art to eh judges. Each participating student will receive a certificate of participation and the written evaluation by the judge(s). The winner for this competition will be receiving a $100 cash award.

 

Annual Music Recital: sponsored by the Musical Touch and is open to students who study in any music program at the musical touch. All performers will be receiving the certificate of performance and music awards.

 

Annual Award Ceremony: sponsored by the musical touch and is an annual award presentation for the recipients of the perfect attendance scholarship, students performance and musicianship scholarship, students art scholarship, music theory and history award, music composition award, the most improved award, the most achievement award, community service award, parents and grandparents of the year award, and parents appreciation award who all qualified to receive cash awards, trophies, certificates, gift certificates, and many other gifts followed by the music performance.

 

Group Party/Birthday Celebration!:  sponsored by the Musical Touch and is open to students who study in any music program. This program is one of the fun activities that kids love the most. Is it held monthly and celebrates students that have birthday's that month, and other fun group parties such as Halloween parties, Christmas Parties, Valentines Parties, and Easter.
